The Falcons
The Falcons brings together three individual driftwood bird sculptures: The Falcon's Focus, The Peregrine's Watch and The Peregrine's Flight. Presented at different heights and in contrasting poses, the three works move from poised observation to the energy of flight while remaining distinct sculptures in their own right.
The Falcon's Focus
The Falcon's Focus is shown on the left of the group photograph, poised high on its perch with its wings partly raised. The stance gives the sculpture a concentrated, alert character, while the layered driftwood follows the form of the body and feathers.

The Peregrine's Watch

The Peregrine's Flight
The Peregrine's Flight is shown on the right of the photograph with its wings extended and body carried forward above the perch. The open pose gives the sculpture an immediate sense of movement, with the spread wings and layered driftwood defining the bird in flight.
