Prince or Millstone

Prince or Millstone sits upright with its head raised and a gold plated crown resting above the frog's broad, expressive face. Irregular pieces of driftwood build the body from the powerful hind legs through to the lifted head, giving the compact sculpture plenty of texture and character. The poised posture and slightly upward gaze lend the figure an assured presence, while the grinding stone base gives the frog a strong setting of its own.
