Le Dauphin

Le Dauphin portrays a young thoroughbred in the prime of life, with an alert stance and finely modelled form. The layered driftwood builds the musculature, movement and character of the horse, while the extended legs and raised head give the sculpture a strong sense of presence.

The sculpture took James approximately 1,500 hours of workshop time to make and refine.
