In Pursuit of Harmony – driftwood whale sculpture by James Doran-Webb

In Pursuit of Harmony rises in a sweeping vertical curve, the whale's body lifting above its driftwood base with the head turned upward and a fin extending from the form. Long, overlapping pieces of driftwood follow the movement through the body, drawing the eye from the base towards the raised head. The strong upward line gives the sculpture a sense of ascent, while the irregular surface keeps the natural character of the driftwood clearly visible.
