Count Napula – driftwood vampire bat sculpture and coffin by James Doran-Webb

Count Napula turns the familiar upside-down silhouette of a roosting bat into a darkly playful small sculpture. Its folded wings draw tightly around the body to form a long, tapering shape, while the pointed ears and characterful face emerge beneath them. The accompanying plyboard coffin adds a theatrical second element to the presentation, with the dark exterior and Abaca Fiber setting off the lighter, irregular surface of the driftwood.
